Spring Garden 荔苑 @ Malacca

Spring Garden 荔苑 is a restaurant under Tai Thong Group, serving halal Chinese food.
People like me, no pork no fun, definitely won't purposely come here to have luxury Chinese food, unless special occasion.

Chinese New Year 捞生 menu.

Everybody is preparing to...

Huat ah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Continue to Huat ah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shark fin.
Nowadays, a lot of restaurants serving shark fin which tastes like eating rubber plastic,... You know what I mean right?

Picture of prawns was taken by lousy photographer(which is me) with his lousy iPhone4 camera.

Don't know what is this, taste like tauke.
It would be better if comes with mushroom and sea cucumber.

Fried rice OMG!!!
Table of almost RM900 serving fried rice...
Eating in restaurant during CNY really kena tok until kao kao -_-'

Red wine, came with the package we ordered.

This is nice.

Sea coconut.
So refreshing and boasted up our energy to continue the below activity...

CNY 2011 之 有朋自远方来

Friends of mine came to Malacca during Chinese New Year.
Below are some of the MISC pictures taken, marking the places and food that we had.

I, as a Malaccan, never entered this ship until now...

Action Figures?
Inside the ship got a lot of antiques from Dynasty Qing discovered underneath the football field last time (aka. Dataran Pahlawan now).

Original/Vanilla flavor, the best of the best.

Green tea to easy our thirst.

Afar is the "second generation bridge" at Portuguese Settlement.

Seaside @ Portuguese Settlement.

What's this?
Some kind of rock made from thousands of mini oysters.

Lamp post on new (3rd generation) bridge of Portuguese Settlement.

Sea view from the new bridge.

The dots on the sea are the old bridge (first generation).

The old bridge which brought me a lot of sweet memories are cut off now :(
The old bridge, which was so popular until it manage to get appearance in Andy Lau's movie.

During I Form 3, I used to jog here with my friend early in the Sunday morning.
The old bridge was so dangerous and challenging as the woods were mostly rotten and broken.
If you miss your steps, meaning that you'll be in deep sea or mud, depends on the tide.
Hmm,... Now, this is what it left...

鼎泰丰 Din Tai Fung @ Pavilion

Another visit to my favorite Taiwanese Food restaurant.
This time we tried 鼎泰丰 Din Tai Fung @ Pavilion.

鼎泰丰 Din Tai Fung @ Pavilion

Busy chefs making the Bao.

Menu on the wall.
Of course they got their real menu, this is only for decoration ^^

Chrysanthemum Pu Er 菊花普洱 @ RM14.00

Healthy drink.

2 tiny dots of Truffle Xiao Long Bao 小笼包 @RM12.00!!!
One gulp can finish the little Bao.
One gulp can finish my RM6.00 :(
According to the waitress, it was made from some precious truffle.
But I can't really taste the deliciousness or anything special as it is kind of normal.

Pork fried rice.

Spicy prawn wan tan mee
This is very aromatic and delicious.
My friend couldn't bear seeing me eating such a delicious food and ordered another bowl of this after eating his pork fried rice.

Mango pudding.
This one not as good as what we thought.
